Q&A: How can a soon-to-be college graduate make it into the advisory sector of a Big 4 consulting firm?

Question by Matt: How can a soon-to-be college graduate make it into the advisory sector of a Big 4 consulting firm?
I’ve got a year left of college & want to get into advisory with one of the big 4 firms. I don’t have a CPA nor do I plan on getting one. What’s the best advice for getting a non-accounting (bus ops, process improvement, etc) job?
Also, what can I expect from the job in terms of hours, travel, and pay?

Q&A: Has anyone heard of a company called College Financial Advisory?

Question by Mark R: Has anyone heard of a company called College Financial Advisory?
This company claims that for a $ 38 fee, they will see if your college student is eligible for federal, state, local or need -based financial aid assistance.

They claim that they have the inside track to secure monies, and if they can’t find anything, they will refund the fee?

Has anyone had any luck with them? Thanks, Mark

Q&A: What is college financial aid advisory?

Question by ♥mary♥: What is college financial aid advisory?
My parents got a letter from college financial aid advisory. It asks for personal information and 59 dollars. Is it true or something else?

Financial Aid needs to know your parents income, ssn etc to determine if you are eligible to financial aid.

I’m not sure why they would ask you for $ 59. I would go to the school with this letter and find out what it’s about before you throw your money away.
